The re-release of Follow Me-ow! has just been published. I had originally written the game to learn to work with the layout and UI of android and iOS apps, so it was written as an app, not a game. Although it was a good learning experience, I wasn't happy with the game as it was sluggish and used way too much system resources. I decided to rewrite the entire game using OpenGL. I spent some time rewriting the game engine I created while making Galaxy Blasters to make it more reusable and have more flexibility and functionality.
The game is now published for Android using this enhanced game engine and I must say, it looks and plays 100% better! Time to start on the iOS version!
